Sports Premium

The government provides schools with additional funding each year to help promote learning in sports. For 2017/2018 Kader has received the following Sports Premium allocation £19,420.

Kader will be using the funding to support:

  • The provision of coaching in a variety of sporting and PE related disciplines
  • Weekly sporting competitions across the school
  • Transport to competitions and festivals
  • Service Level Agreement with Middlesbrough Council to support Y3 swimming.
  • Play Leader Programme
  • The purchase of P.E. and sporting equipment

The Academy also contributes to Middlesbrough Schools’ Teaching Alliance (MSTA) and Acklam Cluster Alliance. Both these groups organise festivals and competitions and supply coaching and professional development. MSTA events are usually competitive, and schools send their elite athletes to these events.
