It has been a busy week in year 5 this week. We have been continuing our work on our topic – Peasants, Princes and Pestilence. In Maths, we have been recapping mixed number and improper fractions and learning how to sequence fractions. In our English lessons, we have been working hard on our reading skills of vocabulary, inference, retrieval and summary through a text called the Rootless Phantom. The children have been practising reading this fluently and with fantastic emphasis and expression. Later on in the week, we became detectives, looking at clues to try and piece together the story that we will looking at for the next few week. Another great week in Year 5, well done!
