What we did this week w.b 23.11.20

English

In English, this week we continued learning about the story ‘The Cloudspotter’. We thought about how we would feel if we were Franklin and the scruffy dog. We also thought about questions we would like to ask Franklin and the scruffy dog, we even hot seated the characters!

Maths

This week in maths we have been focusing on counting in 2s. We have had practical lessons where we went outside and practised counting in 2s by jumping on the spots.

Topic

We continued with our topic ‘Splendid Skies’ and created rain clouds using tissue paper and cotton balls and we hung them from the ceiling, it was so much fun! On Tuesday, we learned about compass directions. We then created our own kite and went outside to fly them and find out which way the wind was blowing.
