This week in English, we were introduced to our new book The Queen’s hat. This developed our knowledge of London as we revisited landmarks and learnt all about the Queen. We also wrote about which is our favourite London landmark and why. We used lots of adjectives. The Queen is coming to Kader on Friday so we have also written down lots of questions to ask her.

In Maths, we have been partitioning numbers using dienes. We then moved onto fractions. We prepared sandwiches for the Queen then cut them into halves and quarters. It was lots of fun, we even ate our crusts!

In Topic, we learnt about human and physical features. We also learnt about different settlements. We now know that Middlesbrough is a town and why!

Well done for working so hard Year 1!
