This week, we introduced our brand-new topic- Paws, Claws and Whiskers. We had two very special guests, Mrs Mitchinson’s dogs Willow and Millie. We thought of questions to ask Mrs Mitchinson about them. Some of us even had the chance to stroke them and take them for a run on the field!

In English this week we focused on the traditional tale ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’. We begun our talk for write and have been fantastic at practising the words and actions.

In Maths this week we have been focusing on position and direction. We gave our learning partners directions to follow including taking a half turn, full turn, three quarter turn, quarter turn and turning left and right.

Computing linked in very nicely with our Maths topic as we were using the Beebots. We began exploring the buttons and seeing how they worked.

We had a very exciting morning on Thursday as we watched the partial eclipse. It was amazing and everyone was so excited!

Well done Year One for working so hard this week! Have a lovely weekend.
