This week in year 1…
Christmas performance
This week we have been practising for our Christmas performance. We really enjoy learning all of the skills needed to put on a great show! Putting on a performance helps us to develop… Key listening skills, respect for others, singing and dancing skills and most of all confidence. All skills that our Year 1 teachers think are so valuable to our overall development! We can’t wait to show you all our hard work next week!
Seas surrounding the UK
We had a super afternoon learning all about the seas that surround the UK. We pretended to set sail! We plotted our journey and off we went! You can help us to embed this knowledge by using the knowledge organisers we sent out at the start of the half term.

We worked very hard to complete a short maths assessment. Our teachers are hoping to see super progress when they mark them! The children have been working extremely hard over the last term since starting Year 1 and their progress overall has been wonderful. Well done Year 1… Keep up the hard work.
Reindeer run
We took part in our sponsored run this week. It was fantastic. The support from parents has been absolutely incredible. Please ensure all money is received by the 16th December so we can present it to the hospice.
