Reception have had a super busy week!

We have learnt all about the Indian festival of Diwali. We looked at Rangoli patterns and had a go at lots of exciting activities such as making patterns with coloured rice, decorating hands with mehndi patterns and making Diwali lamps.

On Wednesday it was Remembrance Day and we joined Acklam Grange’s live stream service to learn all about why we mark this special day. The children created poppies, painted poppies and draw lovely pictures.

On Friday, to celebrate Children in Need Day, the children looked fantastic dressed in their Pudsey and spotty clothes. We learnt all about who we were helping by raising by money and took part in lots of lovely activities such as making a split pin Pudsey, writing a ‘spots’ acrostic poem, finger painting Pudsey’s bandage and lots of counting fun!

Another week of fun and learning!
