This week in Reception we had a surprise visit from ZooLab and they brought with them cockroaches, millipedes, a giant snail, a tarantula and even a snake! The children (and adults) were fascinated and we learnt so many interesting facts about these minibeasts.

This week we were also lucky enough to watch our butterflies emerge from their chrysalis… right before our eyes! What a fantastic experience for the children.

The children wrote amazing sentences to retell the story of Jasper’s Beanstalk and in Maths they tackled worded problems that included addition and subtraction.

We have also started our Queen’s Jubilee preparations, and we took part in our very own Kader (London) Olympics, learning about the key events that have happened during our Queen’s reign.

HAPPY HALF TERM!
