We are grabbing our antlers and holding our very own Rudolph Run on Tuesday 3rd December for Teesside Hospice, who offer palliative care for people who are living with life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible.
Each child will be given a Teesside Hospice sponsor form to gather sponsorship if they wish . A minimum of £2 sponsorship per child is asked from all taking part and they will be provided with their very own set of reindeer antlers. Please ensure that as many people as possible tick their Gift Aid box as it will enable Teesside Hospice to claim an extra 25% back on eligible donations!
Teesside Hospice offer palliative care for people over the age of 18 with a life-limiting illness when a cure is no longer possible. This care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and reaches thousands of local people. As well as this they also offer bereavement counselling and ‘Forget-Me-Not’ children’s bereavement counselling to help them to come to terms with the loss of someone significant in their lives. It costs £3.1 million a year to provide their care services, with £6,700 needing to be raised each and every day of the year to keep the services running.
If your child is taking part can we please ask that any sponsorship money is in school by Monday 16th December so that we can hand the money over to the Hospice before Christmas.
It is because of events like this that they are able to continue to provide this vital care to local people.
Thank you in advance for your support; it really is very much appreciated.
You never know, Father Christmas might even make a guest appearance!
Wishing you and your families a very peaceful, happy Christmas,
