Key Stage One Street Dance Workshop

Monday 16th September 2019 – Monday 16th December 2019 (13 weeks excluding half term)

We are excited to announce that Street Dance Workshops will be run by Tom Burke Academy (TBA). The children received taster session from TBA during sports week last year and the feedback we received was incredible. The children thoroughly enjoyed these sessions and developed their dance skills. One of the deciding factors in making the change was that the children were familiar with the staff from TBA as they support them in other activities within school.

Street Dance Workshops will take place after school every Monday from 3.15pm – 4.15pm for 13 weeks. The workshops will take place at Kader Academy and will begin on Monday 16th September 2019 until Monday 16th December 2019 (13 weeks excluding half term). As this is a long block of Street Dance sessions there will be a couple of performances. Adam, the Street Dance Teacher, will notify you when these performances will be taking place.

The cost will be £3.00 per session with a total amount of £39.00 due for all 13 sessions.  All monies are to be paid directly to TBA. Sessions can be paid for on a week by week basis or in full at the beginning of the block.

Places are limited to 30 pupils and will be provided on a first come first serve basis, to reserve your child’s place please register your consent below. If your child has been allocated a place, you will receive a message via the app from the school office. Please note if you are unsuccessful you will not receive a message via the app.

Once your child has been given a place for the Street Dance Workshop, you will be provided with a consent and emergency contact details form by TBA which MUST be filled in before your child attends their first session.

When collecting your child, in order to keep them safe, please can they be collected from the school entrance to ensure they are not walking through the car park.

Yours sincerely,

Miss H. Arceri

Extended Schools co-ordinator.
